What kinds of weapons would you like to see as DLC in the future. New weapons of existing classes or even entirely new classes. Be as descriptive or vague as you like.

Name: Ninjascope
Type: Charger
Uncharged Damage: 40
Max Charge Damage: 140
Range: 68
Charge Speed: 20
Mobility: 80
Sub Weapon: Squid Beakon
Special Weapon: Echolocator
The Ninjascope is a strange charger, as its name may imply it is a scope type charger, its range is less than stellar as well as having a slow charge speed. Its mobility is great however is boasts one more key distinction. Unlike any charger before it, the Ninjascope does not have a laser sight, allowing the user to splat targets without them even knowing it, however due to its low range and charge speed the user will have to get crafty and hide nearby.

Name: Arc Slosher
Type: Slosher
Base Damage: 70
Range: 70
Attack: 90
Weight: 45
Sub Weapon: Seeker
Special Weapon: Echolocator
The Arc Slosher is a long ranged slosher weapon. It has long range and high damage however the way it inks the ground is slightly different than that of normal sloshers. Unlike previous sloshers which also ink a trail in front, the Arc Slosher hurls a splotch of ink over long distances and ink distant areas rather than the area immediately in front of the Inkling.

S-3 Nozzlenose: A shooter weapon that takes the 3 shot burst idea of a Nozzlenose, but each shot has a different range. The first shot has the range of a Splattershot Jr, the second the range of a Splattershot, and the third of a Splattershot Pro. Each shot does 35 damage and has perfect accuracy. It fires shots a bit slower than that of the L-3, and comes with Splat Bombs and Bomb Rush.

Name: Bounce Blaster
Type: Shooter (Blaster)
Range: 50
Impact: 70
Fire Rate: 20
Sub: Splash Wall
Special: Echolocator
The Bounce Blaster is very similar to that of the normal Blaster stat wise but it boast a new gimmick. The shot are fired at an arc and will bounce off the ground and walls. The blast will explode on contact with any player just like any other Blaster type. With it you can do some crazy trick shots and effectively shoot at grounded players without losing impact.

Charging Splatlings (name subject to change): Splatlings that initially shoot extremely slow, but over a period of time begin firing faster and faster. When the player lets go of the trigger, the weapon stops firing and the current firing speed decreases quickly back to its minimum. If the player presses the trigger again, the Splatling begins firing at its current firing speed (so the trick is to keep it at it's maximum firing speed as often as possible). The details would need testing to keep it from being too strong/weak and make it noticeably different from the standard Splatlings

Some more ideas I've came up with.

Name: 4/4 Rhythmshot
Type: Shooter
Base Damage: 36 (62)
Range: 50
Attack: 55
Fire Rate: 40
Sub Weapon: Splat Bomb
Special Weapon: Killer Wail
The 4/4 Rhythmshot is a shooter weapon with a unique gimmick attached to it. Instead of doing constant damage between shots, the 4/4 fires one significantly more powerful shot every 4 shots. The weapon has the same firing rate as the Splattershot Pro except each normal shot deals less damage, however the strong shot deals significantly more damage than even a .52 Gal.

Name: 3/4 Rhythmshot
Type: Shooter
Base Damage: 32 (58)
Range: 50
Attack: 55
Fire Rate: 40
Sub Weapon: Burst Bomb
Special Weapon: Bubbler
Stats wise the 3/4 Rhythmshot is identical to the 4/4 Rhythmshot. The main difference between the two is that the 3/4 fires a stronger shot every 3 shots instead of 4. However the damage of each shot is decreased.

Name: Excalibrush
Type: Roller (Brush)
Splash Damage: 35
Roll Damage: 32
Range: 55
Ink Speed: 70
Weight: 55
Sub Weapon: Splash Wall
Special Weapon: Inkstrike
The Excalibrush is a brush type weapon. What makes it unique it compared to other brush type rollers, it has a significantly larger range. When flung the Excalibrush will hurl a wave of ink through the air. The Excalibrush can launch about 2.5 waves a second. At the cost it is on the slower end for a brush being a bit slower than a Carbon Roller.

That seem intriguing to say the least. Though might be weird dealing with the shifting range since you have to be close to get all 3 to hit.

Name: Bounce Blaster
Type: Shooter (Blaster)
Range: 50
Impact: 70
Fire Rate: 20
Sub: Splash Wall
Special: Echolocator

That seem like it would be really fun to use. As someone that already likes doing lots of ricochet tricks using the Splat Bomb this seems like my kind of blaster. Would be fun using in tight corridors.

Charging Splatlings (name subject to change): Splatlings that initially shoot extremely slow, but over a period of time begin firing faster and faster. When the player lets go of the trigger, the weapon stops firing and the current firing speed decreases quickly back to its minimum. The details would need testing to keep it from being too strong/weak and make it noticeably different from the standard Splatlings
So the weapons functions similarly to a Shooter as in it can fire a constant spray of ink but it just takes time to reach max potential? I like this idea.

Sprinkler Can: Sprinkles water left and right sorta like an ink brush but more of a sprinkler pattern. The gimmick is when you hold down the trigger you can rain down a continuous stream of sprinkles over a ledge. Can have longer range big can versions that are slower and smaller can versions that are short range and faster.

Had another idea pop up.

How about weapons that offer some defensive properties? I believe somewhere it said the Dynamo Roller can deflect shots when flung but we haven't really had weapons that have a defensive property.

Name: Armored Splatling
Base Damage: 28
Range: 78
Charge Rate: 40
Mobility: 35
Sub Weapon: Seeker
Special Weapon: Inkzooka
Offensively it functions nearly identical to a Heavy Splatling, same range, same charge, same fire rate, same damage, even its appearance is basically a Heavy Splatling, however its mobility is inferior. The big difference is that the Armored Splatling has is that it has a riot shield attached just in front of the front handle. This addition gives the Armored Splatling defensive properties against direct frontal attacks decreased the damage received by 50% (You can tank a frontal shot from even Chargers).

It would be interesting if we had turrets as either part of levels or as a special. The turrets would have no mobility, but fire very fast and have long distance....

Brush Skates:
A pair of thick brushes strapped to your shoes.
Holding the attack button, lets you skate along the floor in a speed that is slightly faster then the inkbrush. The paint you leave behind while moving this way is of course very minimal. Mashing the attack button, lets you perform an attack string that makes you kick ink all over the place. Depending on where you aim, you also kick differently (aiming high, makes you do something like a somersault kick so that the ink flies higher).
When kicking, the distance the ink flies is actually quite far, as you propel the ink with your leg power, however, the amount kicked out is very small. The weapon would be a 2HKO.

Spray Can:
Range is very limited, and that damage is also quite low.
However, this is balanced out, as the spray can leaving a paint dust behind for a short amount of time where it sprays. Entering this cloud does damage per tick, so you could pass through the cloud without dying, but of course you will damaged (also entering the cloud while you are already damages can mean your death). Painting the floor would be very easy, as it has very low ink usage and a wide area that covers the floor.

are you trying to take everything from Jet Grind Radio, lol ;). I like your ideas. Spray can made me think of Stanley from Donkey Kong 2. Stanley gear would be fun with like a puffer sprayer thing like he has.

Oh man, I like the idea of new splatlings. As for the aesthetics of these new splatlings, I was thinking of a design similar to the Nerf guns Vulcan and Rhino Fire.

Remember, you don't have to be a minigun to be a machine gun.

Splatling Blaster. All the range and fire rate of a Splatling with the explosive splash damage of a Blaster.
Honestly if this were to actual come to be a thing (and I've thought about this) to keep it balanced it cannot have equal range or fire rate to a standard Splatling.
The range would probably just a bit longer than a normal Blaster so probably like 35 to 40 range so Range Blaster range or a little bit longer (and probably still have a middle to slow tier charge rate).
Fire rate wise it would have to be adjusted since Blasters fire singular bombs instead or a spray of ink so probably max out something like 4-5 shots per second.
Damage wise if this is scaled to a normal Blaster would probably have to be lowered so a single direct hit won't 1HKO, and the splash won't 2HKO.

Reading over these weapons, I was inspired to also make up a music-based shooter. Even drew it up as part of Squid INKtober.
Squid INKtober 008 - The BoomBox Shot.jpg
The BoomBox Shot (Shooter)
Manufacturer: Custom Power
Base Damage: Variable, but around 20-30
Range: 40
Attack: Variable, but around 20-40
Fire Rate: Matches rhythm of current BGM in battle.
Sub Weapon: Splat Bombs*
Special Weapon: Killer Wail*
Essentially a boombox radio converted into an ink gun. This of course means that it shoots ink at a rate that precisely matches the rhythm of the background music during a match. Faster rhythms mean faster shots, but slower rhythms mean more powerful blasts. The only constant is the range, which is between those of the Splash-O-Matic and Rapid Blaster. Earphones optional.

*Only now did I just realize this and the 4/4 Rhythmshot share the same sub/special combo.

Wolf blaster
A short range blaster which is modeled after Wolf's blaster from Smash Bros. The weapon does more damage the closer you are to an opponent and an insta kill if its a direct hit.

my own idea When pressing fire, inkling will start to load rounds, which takes about 1.5 seconds. When released, the blaster will launch 3 balls at fire rate of 60/100.

Not a main weapon but I would like to see a sub weapon happen:

Ink Screen: When used, throws down a capsule of ink that explodes on contact with the ground sending your colour ink skyward. The splash does minimal damage to any surrounding enemies (20-25) and clouds vision for a few seconds allowing the user to either attack under the stealth of the screen or retreat.

You would think that a squid's main method of escaping nasty situations would make some kind of an appearance right?

While I'm not sure if I should put it here or in "Bad Splatoon Suggestions", I'll say a "Pro" version of the Jet Squelcher ;)
