I had decided to set up a Splatoon 2 roster rule. Splatoon 2 roster rule purpose is to limit splatoon 2 team roster turn over.
This version (8-11-2019) replace the old version.
Players disconnect: if a player disconnect during the rank match and the rank match running time so far is greater than 2 minutes and that player team lose, do not give that team rank bar shakes if that player team manage to grab/hold a lead anytime after that player disconnect.

You earn roughly one sea snail (one level is 100000 xp [assume your current level 50 or higher]) every 8 hours (before applying xp tickets).
You earn roughly ~20000 gold every 2 hours (before applying gold tickets).
Hence the fastest way to earn chunks is to scrub.

Best way to farm chunks is to scrubbing gear.
Do not try farming chunks using sea snails. You need a crazy amount (greater than 350 sea snails) of sea snails to unlock every single gear slot.
Tenacity is a ability you want to use for rank matches.
I think your internet latency is poor.

Run the internet speed test on the Nintendo switch.
Record Nintendo switch latency. You want the latency to be close to 0. High latency players will produce lags for low latency players.
Very good latency: 25 ms: 0.025 seconds
Good latency: 50 ms...
Look at the top 500 rank X leader board for Splat zone (April and May 2018) and notice which weapons are represented in the top 500 for Splat zone. Repeat this exercise for Tower control, Rainmaker and Clam Blitz.
Now tell me which weapons are under powered.

Losing team must open the winning team barrier within 20 seconds of overtime, otherwise they lose.
If the winning team barrier is not open, losing team will lose if one of the following is true:
the losing team have no active losing team power clam
winning team open the losing team barrier...
The duration of overtime in Clam Blitz is unlimited as long as the losing team keep scoring clams. This is true once the losing team manage to break the winning team barrier.
One way to counter Baller spam is to throw a toxic mist at the baller, before they explode. This will slow the affected player movement. You should have a opportunity to splat the affected player once the baller had exploded.
Player hidden power rating (rank S+ or lower) is based on the formula used to calculate the player power rating (rank X).
The player can estimate their hidden power rating if your rank is S+ or lower.
If the inkling is inside the circle lines, the inkling will get splatted (unless the inkling has ink armor activated). The no damage radius is probably 2* the splat radius.
