    New Game Mode: Salmon Run

Others mentioned things like Zombie mode, but my memories go back to Firefight from Halo. Very excited to see more PvE content, especially since the lack of it in Splatoon 1 was one of my biggest gripes with that game. And while we still don't know much about how expansive the story mode will...

    Why do people rage quit?

I normally don't ragequit either, even when I know I'm not playing well, but last night I was getting so tilted over it I was like "I [i[have[/i] to stop playing right now, if only for my mental health". Didn't matter that it was in the middle of a match, I had to draw the line somewhere. And...

    The worst map...EVER!!!

I don't even know how well it works for Turf War either, since huge areas are just so out of the way. Piranha Pit just has a weird design in general. I much prefer maps where everything's a bit more lined up, like, well, every other map in the game. -_-

Splatfest, your luck, and who you chose.

Cats: Always preferred cats over dogs, so this was a no-brainer for me. Water Slides: Although I like roller coasters too, I have fond memories of going on water slides to cool down during hot summer days. Hot Dogs: Truthfully, I hate both hot dogs and marshmallows, and hot dogs in particular...

Your personal thoughts on motion controls in Splatoon

I have a couple perspectives when it comes to this whole stick controls vs. motion controls thing, so I'll split it up here. I've been a member of the Touhou community for going on six years. There are multiple ways to play those games, namely using a keyboard vs. using a controller/pad, and...

NA Splatfest: Hot Dog vs. Marshmallow

I said that matches between teams from the same side were time-wasters, that's not what I'm arguing here. This seems to suggest that having to play those extra games tangibly affects how the more popular team performs when it matters, like they're getting their energy sapped or something, and...

    Marie's Sass Level?

Is it just me or is Marie becoming more and more sassy as more "stage tips" are being written? Not that there's a problem with that of course.

NA Splatfest: Hot Dog vs. Marshmallow

The less popular team does not have an advantage because of "dog-eat-dog matches". Every game that counts is always one team vs. the other team, so both sides inherently get the same amount of opportunities to push the win percentage in their favor. It's completely up to how the players perform...

    Splatoon needs regional option

I don't know, from my experience Splatfest matches end up being more prone to unstable connections, not less. I can at least accommodate to in-game lag and/or just leave the lobby afterwards if it's really that bad, but I'd take that over both myself and others being randomly disconnected...

NA Splatfest: Did the metagaming cause Water Slides to self-splat?

Three sub abilities on a Special Saver shirt does not a better player/team make. I didn't level up my shirt beforehand and still won most of my matches on my way to Water Slide King. On no sleep. As for why the team win percentages were the way they were? Randomness, like @Grafkarpador said...

Splatfest Discussion Thread: The Iron Lines and the Calcium Nines

I'm on Team Water Slides and I also had exactly the opposite experience. I managed to join a couple of solid teams and got to King rank in less than 4 hours. Only reason I left them at all was because of DCs on my end. When you have an event with this many players, it's gonna be hard for one...

Are you going to take future splatfests seriously now that we know how winners are judged?

I will pick my favorite side if only because I still want to remain true to myself - even if we could've found out what the popular vote was at any given time, I still would've picked Cats. However, I don't see any reason to keep playing after maxing my rank with the rules as they stand now...

Cats Win 51% of Splat Fest Matches

Only matches where it was Cat vs. Dog/Rock vs. Pop/etc. counted toward the final result. Not including disconnects, which most likely did not favor one team over another in the grand scheme of things, that means the "effective" number of players for both sides were considered equal. That's why...

Splatfest Discussion Thread: The Iron Lines and the Calcium Nines

Even if @Geprodis's margin for victory was overestimated, the one that Cats would've needed still seems highly unreasonable. Heck, it's greater than the difference in the Rice vs. Bread Splatfest, which had completely bonkers rules to begin with. We don't have enough results data yet to see how...
