The grate pathways add a lot of strategy to the map, lets you move around easier and shoot more turf at the cost of being an easier target for the enemy, and you can leave them at any time by turning into a squid. I've seen a lot of people use chargers and they appear to be a good fit for taking...
Fake leaks are just annoying, mainly when everybody falls for them. Since nobody was stupid enough to fall for this one, this is more 'oh right that was a thing' than 'but it was totes legit?1>!'
I like Wonder Red and Pink the most character wise, both had issues in their backstory but enough focus to avoid it clouding their judgement, unlike Wonder Blue. Wonder Death has a cool design. Also Immorta's theme is awesome.
On a good team one mistake shouldn't be enough to lose the match. There were two matches on Arowana Mall where I had two enemies boxed in the side hallway before they quickly killed me, the first time we were never able to gain control of the Splat Zone, the second time my team was able to take...
This post reminds me of the whole 'ELO hell' thing from MOBAs. I feel part of the frustration a lot of people have with teams in ranked was the false hope of not having to plan on the assumption you get a stupid team, it's going to take a while before ranked matchmaking hits that point...
Like the chargers people are really underestimating the spreading power of this thing, it can't run and spread a lot at the same time, but it can run fast to a spot and then spread a lot of ink, plus jumping gives it range for when it gets onto the high ground. Adding on to my earlier comment...
The Inkbrush almost feels like a new weapon type, almost. The speed on it is inkredible, but you have to jump in order to get any range and running only produces a small trail. Ink consumption also feels high. It's a good anti-sniper weapon since it can quickly reach, climb, and cover sniper...
I take the route to the center the rest of my team doesn't so it gets covered, if there's still an uninked route when I respawn I take that in order to cover it.
The Kelp Charger is great in this mode, you can snipe the enemy from a distance, use the sprinkler to help gain/keep control of the zone (and counter inkstrikes), then pull out a Killer Whale when you fill the special meter to force the enemy away. I try to not spend too much time in the...
I was so excited when I saw those moving platforms. At first I thought they spread the ink of whichever team controlled it, but after some more observation I concluded that wasn't the case. Or maybe it just applies for certain parts of it/ requires inking the whole thing?
Now that Ranked is finally out thanks to our leveling up, let's share early impressions and tips.
In my experience matches tend to be very tense (when the enemy team doesn't think they're playing Turf War), if you screw up you can lose the lead. Since getting splattered spreads the enemy ink, I...
Going to the side platforms in the center is a good strategy in ranked, especially if you can sneak over to the enemy side platform. At least as a charger or long ranged shooter.
