Splatling's Inkstrike is actually amazing in RM and SZ, the last thing it does is hold the weapon back. I can't tell you how many near-loss comebacks and successful knockout pushes i've cemented in RM squads because of a well-timed inkstrike+full charge forcing people out of a favorable...
Can you go into further detail on how it beats walls? I play mostly splatling and the gals equipped with them always give me the most trouble of any weapon (besides competent e-liters).
Played against a squad of four japanese brushes on Bluefin zones. 2 inkbrush nouveaus, an octobrush and a standard inkbrush. They got really creative with their approaches and their pushes were super-coordinated, three of us got wiped a couple of times. I'm pretty sure they had voice chat going...
S is terrible and your ability to climb through it is really a measure of how good you are at 1v4s. As long as you played every mode and didn't wait for a favorable map rotation to ladder you're probably fine where you are.
Right now offensive pressure with this weapon is very map-dependent. The default heavy splatling has nothing to pressure people hiding behind cover so ideally you want to push from open zones without a lot of corridors to duck into or cover to hide behind. On maps like depot or towers try to...
I can corroborate this, i've had much more success playing aggressively with the splatling than I have defensively. It's more than capable of pushing on the front lines, the range enables a very safe and skittish style of offense that baits people into rushing you while still covering turf. If...
Personally I love this thing, the sub and special are a perfect compliment to its amazing coverage/ttk and crummy range. Burst Bombs with a few skill enhancements are excellent at pressuring foes outside shooting range while staying mobile and laying down safe ink. Inkzooka is a fantastic zone...
I'd be inclined to agree if it wasn't such a salt generator in ranked already. Never have I seen people so universally mad about a weapon in any format.
Chargers. Alternatively, bombs since they're practically glued in place while flicking. Failing that just ambush them. Dynamo has so many solid counters it's silly.
Kraken nerf is all fine and dandy, but i'm disappointed the flick wasn't nerfed first. Kraken was the least of the roller's strengths, people just complained about it the most because they didn't know how to play around it. I don't want Nintendo to leave the roller with its instantaneous AoE...
