Farewell~ Miiverse!! (￣^￣)ゞ

Heard it earlier today with everyone pointing to translations from Nintendo of Japan's site, but now an English language version is up on Nintendo of Americas' site.

Strongly advise you to click the link and read for details, yet the gist of it is November 7th, 10pm PST the Miiverse service is shutting down! Any Miiverse functionality tied to a particular game will be discontinued, for example, in Splatoon you'll no longer see Miiverse posts in your plaza and matches.

And from the sounds of it, once they shutdown service you will be unable to access the Miiverse from ANY medium.

As for archiving everything you already posted to Miiverse, other than doing it on your own, you can make a request to receive (sometime after November 7th) an archive of all your previous posts—without comments and messages from others.

We knew this would happen eventually, now we know when.

Even if i didn't use it for a while this is still sad to hear. Goodbye, Miiverse!

I hope the internet functionality of Wii U games won't follow suit soon,otherwise Splatoon 1 will truly die out forever.
