hm. my go-to answer for 'favorite movie' is jennifer's body but i have no idea how old you are or your tolerance for horror and therefore i cannot in good conscience just recommend it. i should rewatch it though, it's horror movie season after all...
my other go-to answer is the animal crossing movie from wild world era which i CAN in good conscience recommend to EVERYONE who can find it. it's cute :) and it made kk bossa my favorite kk slider song
knives out is also still very good. also i recently watched i saw the tv glow and god im still thinkin about it
Hard to name just one all time favorite, besides the obvious classics that I'm sure everyone has seen like all the Monty Python films, Airplane!, or anything by Ghibli.
But one incredible movie I saw earlier this year that really stuck with me enough to want to gush about it right now was A Silent Voice (2016).
My two favorite movies are "Kiki's Delivery Service" and "Spider-Man 2".
It's hard for me to recommend both movies since one of them is a sequel and the entire trilogy itself has some issues but you should definitely try watching "Kiki's Delivery Service" if you haven't seen it already.
It's an amazing film with a great theme, beautiful art, and fun characters.
I would personally say that both movies also share a lot in common as weird as that may sound but that's getting off topic.
I haven't watched very many movies past the age of like 10 so my memory of a lot of really good ones is very hazy. Into the Spiderverse is the one I liked the most of the ones I can remember.
Some of my favorite movies over time, in no particular order after the first three:
Song of the Sea (Cartoon Saloon consistently does Good Work)
The Bad Guys (love letter to heist movies and Lupin the Third, with furries)
Wish Dragon (the Chinese 3D animation folks are doing some great work if you know where to find it)
Sam and Max's Spring Break Zombie Massacre (neurodivergent teenage power fantasy, complete creative freedom and no budget, usually shown alongside behind the scenes footage/commentary)
Monty Python's Holy Grail
Kubo and the Two Strings (LAIKA also consistently does Good Work)
Kung Fu Panda 2 (can you tell I have Strong Opinions about 21st century animated films? blame it on the 'tism)
Peanut Butter Falcon (I also have Strong Opinions about disability as represented in film; the movie was Just OK if you separate it from the title character)
Big Hero 6 and Monsters University are not among the better movies on this list, but they hit for me specifically
The Lion King 1½ shaped my affinity for meta humor, but the Jewish American jokes went over my head
I can't not agree with Squib and Diva about their selections, and I Saw the TV Glow is VERY high on my watchlist. The first two Shrek movies are also peak cinema.
