Was thinking about Splatlings, as usual, and just wanted to put all the weapons in the class into a tierlist based on my personal enjoyment of them.
Not based on viablity or how well the kit synergises with the main or how much I use each one or anything like that, just pure personal enjoyment. Couldn't find a previous thread like this so making it here.

Tiers are ordered.

As one might guess, the two Hydra kits are at the very tippy top <3
I find Custom to be more fun since it lets the main do a lot of things the Vanilla kit just can't do (as easily).

I don't talk about Nautilus as much as other Splatlings, but it is actually my second favorite in the class. Nautilus 47 is currently the only other Splatling I've 5-starred besides the vanilla Hydra. It's just so mechanically demanding and that makes it so fun! 79 gets a slight edge over 47 because the combined power of Suction/Splashdown just makes it a biiit more fun than just Storm Naut on it's own.
CrEdit gets to be Hydra sometimes and that makes me really happy :)

vEdit is a tier down just because when it gets walled out, it feels kinda rough to play. vHeavy kit is so so close to being perfect and Heavy as a main is so so fun! It's the vanilla ice cream of Splatlings, and boy do I love vanilla ice cream. The Edits and vHeavy are the other Splatlings besides the Naut 79 and Custom Hydra that I would like to 5-star at some point. But alas, I am a busy busy squid, so that's gonna take me a bit.

Heavy Deco is fun in the same way that vHeavy is, but the kit doesn't have things that interest me personally so it's lower down here. The Ballpoints are neat, but they always feel so off to me. Backlining with them feels so iffy when I'm so used to Hydra's firing speed and sheer power. Frontlining with them is fun tho, if a bit tricky. I really wanna get better with them.

The Minis are fun! They are so so fun! I always have a good time with a Mini! Well, specifically Vimi. I debated giving Zimi it's own tier because I do enjoy it noticeably less, but it felt wrong to separate the little guys since ultimately the main reasons they're so low are the same. The Minis just don't interest me as a player as much as the other Splatlings. I play almost exclusively backlines and I enjoy taking backline positions the most. The Minis just can't do that.
The Minis are there for when I need a change of pace from being a backliner, but I haven't felt the need for a change so down they go.

I might as well get the conversation going with the chargers. Tiers are ordered as well.

Should be no surprise that Snipewriter makes it to the top immediately but for the others I got some, choice stuff to say the least.

C-Liter was a dream kit of mine once kraken got revealed and I knew it was going to be that the minute Octobrush Nouveau got Ink Storm. This kit is such an evil one to give to Liter because your opponent can do everything right and they can still be screwed over either by kraken, or you jumping out to one of your beakons. Close behind is VScope because I love how fast it is. If I ever need a break from Liter or Snipewriter and a few bombs, this one's got me covered. Put a double bomb build on it and you have grounds for some of the most chaotic charger gameplay you can offer as your opponent will constantly be second guessing whether you hit your shot on them or prepare a flurry of bombs just for them. As of recently though the Snipewriter 5B's got my attention and frankly I gotta say I was sleeping on this one. Splash Wall works better on it than I expected.

The tier below's got some cool ones for my liking. Bamboozler MK II is such a good weapon when played right and I'm so glad they gave it Fizzy back, even if it meant breaking the trend of Bamboo never getting a repeat sub. New Squiffer also is a very fun kit even if I'm bad at using Zipcaster with it. In all fairness this is easily the hardest weapon that has the special as it doubles up on the skill checks needed to play it the best. Custom Goo Tuber I bust out whenever someone talks ill about it, and while I can't fault people for thinking so, I can still play the weapon and enjoy it. We love Goo in this house. As for Bamboo MK I, you might think that there's no reason to play it with MK II around, but I say Wail is very much a good tool for this. I can only imagine what life would be like if this charger got Fizzy Wail.

And this is where my praise takes a nosedive. I do understand that ZF is the better kit for Splat Charger, but it simply does not offer that chaos I'm looking for when I pick up the weapon. V-Liter is also much more slower paced than C-Liter in my eyes, but I do have a soft spot for it since I've played with it for so long. VGoo and Classic Squiffer are just kinda there for me. They're okay but it simply just doesn't interest me.

This leaves us with the unscoped chargers. I can't play these things! After getting used to their scoped variants for so long I don't think I can ever go back to unscoped. It feels rather uncomfortable and I do actually quite like the zoom. Snipewriter fixes a lot of the issues I have with unscoped chargers though so I'm happy I still have something similar to play. (Also I can't help but think that Liter when unscoped just looks incomplete. Might just be me though.)

Fun idea! I made one for brellas and splatlings
my-image (40).png

First off the brella class the tiers are ordered and lets start with the top

I LOVE sorella brella I am inching closer and closer to 5 stars (yeah I don't have it yet there are too many fun weapons in this game ok)
and I am still learning every day I play it a new part of it I have never seen before for example recently I have been trying to shield my teammates more often during a match and its been really fun
+ the kit is so perfect thank you nintendo for auto jetpack please bring it back in the next game I beg of you

Tenta sorella brella and recycled2 are the murder brellas you pick these when you want to murder
sure they aren't as complicated as regular brella but thats ok I need some weapons that aren't playing 10 dimensional chess every game and these weapons (while hard) just get the job done with much less brain power

Now for the third tier I am a big fan of all of these BUT only for the silly stuff you can get yourself into
Recyled1 is actually not as bad as I remember? the undercovers just feel really good outsmarting your enemies and vTent has some funny sportive moments with the kit

and then vBrella makes me need therapy the main is fun but the kit is soul draining

my-image (41).png

The more time I have with splatlings the more I realise that ballpoint is my favorite and I think its because the plays you can make with the short range mode and your mobility are some of my favorite things you can do in this game
I prefer the vanilla one because it favors the more aggro playstyle I like and it has jetpack but I also love inkvac for the support element

I adore the edits although I prefer the vanilla one because cooler run speed + edit can be really funny but I still love the crab one for being a edit that doesn't make me feel terrible when I die with special
And Dheavy just works I am not the greatest kraken player by ANY means but I can hit some nutty stuff sometimes and the kraken and sensor really lean into the more midline heavy I think (which is great when the game pairs you up again WITH ANOTHER BACKLINE)

So the hydra and naut tier is the only tier here that isn't ordered I love these weapons but go back and forth DAILY on which kit I like better
I like the inkmine on hydra but I prefer the booyah bomb but then sometimes I play cHydra for the mine but then I really with I had my minion I could chuck at people
sometimes I play vnaut for a more consistent entry tool (inkstorm) but then I really wish I had a bomb so then I switch to 79 then I lament the loss of my point sensor

And then the last tier are the splatlings I like the least sure heavy is fun and wave can be fun if your hunting for funny wave spots but it is just not for me
and I do actually really like mini in this game but MAN do these kits stink its like the previous tiers problem but WAY worse because I
just want a mini with burst bomb + bubble but I can't have it :(
I still play minis but I play them the least out of all the splatlings maybe next game can treat you better... maybe next game

I posted a tierlist like this on my profile posts a couple days ago, but I decided to post it here too. I also had a chance to play the rapid pros and clash neo. There isn't any roller or blaster I don't like playing just some I like more than others, but I feel the difference is not really that big

my-image(1).png

I was going to do an explanation for each weapon and why they are in each tier, but that would take WAY too long so yea

I already made a tier list for the slosher class in another thread but I didn't actually explain my reasoning for the tier placements so I'll do it here instead.

my-image (16).png

(weapons are all ordered)

1st tier:
Of course Machine is at the top of my list. While Machine Neo does have a strong and synergistic kit with Sensor/Zooka it's almost impossible to beat Fizzy/Booyah on vMachine.
I want to say more about Machine but unfortunately most of my positive feelings are followed up with something I hate about how the weapon was nerfed.
It's almost impossible for me to not mention the list of nerfs given to it so I'll end it here by saying that it's very disappointing that the two best bucket kits are exclusively on one main weapon that the devs have nerfed for issues outside of the main weapon itself.
A bandage for a much larger problem.

2nd tier: Slosher is such a difficult main weapon to be consistent with but feels extremely satisfying once you're good at it. It also helps that the kit and main weapon are great so putting the work into getting good with Slosher is actually worth it for both solo and comp.
There's only one thing holding it back for me and that's Triple Inkstrike.
I personally find Tri-Strikes to be a very boring special to use and that problem is only made worse on Slosher since it plays a lot closer to the enemy team and under ledges which aren't the type of positions a player wants to be in when popping Strikes.
It makes vBucket feel awkward to use sometimes as I have to back off from the position I'm holding to get a better angle to use my special and in general it forces the weapon to play a lot more passively.
I really wish they just gave it Zooka to reference the Soda Slosher kit from S1 instead, that would have had much better synergy with the main weapon.

3rd tier: This tier is full of buckets that can be pretty fun to use but they either have a problem with their kits or don't offer the same satisfying feeling I get from performing well with vBucket or Machine.
Slosher Deco feels amazing when I'm doing well with it and Zip fits Slosher much better than Strikes but of course, it's brought down by being stuck with Angle Shooter. It does have a damage combo with the sub and the paint on it is fine but the small benefits you get from it are so minimal that playing Slosher Deco is close to not having any sub at all.
Unlike vBucket, the amount of work you need to put into this weapon is not worth it but I find the main and special combination fun enough to keep playing it anyway.
nTri is very different though since I don't have any problems with the kit. The only two reasons it's not any higher despite having Fizzy/Cooler is because of how high the pfs is and also that I just don't enjoy Tri-Slosher as much as Machine and Bucket.
If the pfs was instead 200p or 190p then I would probably put it higher than Slosher Deco but as it is now, it's just a pretty nice option to use if I'm in the mood to play a Cooler weapon.
vTri also has the same problem I mentioned before about being stuck with a sub that does practically nothing for the weapon except it's much worse here. I practically only use this weapon kit for RM and even then it's not a great choice.

4th tier: The sloshers here are ones that I can find some enjoyment in using but I don't play them as much either because of their kit or something about the weapon that I don't like.
Explo was very close to being placed higher but the vanilla kit doesn't give Explo what it actually needs, something that's very important for the weapon because of its extreme weaknesses. My experience with the matchmaking system when using Explo has also been terrible, usually getting paired up with another backline and only one weapon that can actually take advantage of the chip damage that the weapon provides.
Dread is another case of S3 kit design bringing my enjoyment of the weapon significantly down. The potential it has as a mid ranged chip damage and paint support weapon is completely thrown away because of Reefslider. If it wasn't for that then Dread could have been much higher with Slosher and maybe even Machine.
Blob is just Blob, there's nothing wrong with the vanilla kit as it fits the weapon perfectly but I don't get much excitement from playing a paint bot. It's still fun sometimes if I just feel like using a weapon where I don't have to think much about what I'm doing.

5th tier: This tier is specifically for buckets that I don't hate but I don't really care that much about either. cExplo can be fun sometimes but I don't care for Splash Wall/TSD on Explo. I can see it being higher though but I need to finish the build I was working on for the weapon to get a better idea on how I feel about it.
Blob Deco is just Blob but now you have to slightly think a bit more than before because both the sub and special don't fit how the main weapon plays.

Last tier: I hate everything about Dread D. Genuinely the worst slosher in S3 and if the next update said "Dread D has been removed from the weapon selection screen" that would make it my favorite S3 update.

Edit: Realizing most of my explanations mostly get into what I don't like about the weapons instead of what I actually enjoy but that's just because I usually get very critical about what I like. I still enjoy using all the sloshers of course (except for Dread D) but I know I could enjoy them even more.
Despite all my problems, I'm still dedicated to sloshers anyway because they're my favorite weapon class.

I finally got to a good stopping place with this; I feel like these placements really depend on the day I'm playing, but I think this does a good enough job of relaying what I tend to play and not. There may be shock due to meta picks being at the bottom, but the two main reasons are that I'm pretty bad at using the more advanced subs and specials (splashwall, kraken) and I find a lot more joy in mastering the more niche underdog weapons anyway.

I wanted to create a blasters tier list back when this thread was first created but at the time, the only blasters I frequently used were RB and S-Blast so I decided to wait until I had more experience with the entire weapon class.
I still don't have enough experience to accurately sort them all but I figured this would be a good first tier list to see how I currently feel about them.
All tiers are ordered as well.

I find it a bit funny that my favorite blasters are all 2nd kits. I wonder if that pattern will continue as I experiment more with the entire weapon class.
