Taking a break from ideas for now; do you have any weapons you like but don't play, and if so, what are they? The last time a post was made about this was nearly a year ago, so I'm making a fresh one.

My answer would be the Heavy Splatling. The main weapon is basically everything I want so see; good range, good fire rate, decent at protecting itself in close combat, and decent paint. There are only two problems with it that end up compounding each other.
Heavy is a simple weapon to use, and also an anchor that prefers to engage in one-sided fights by outranging the competition. This can make it feel boring to play at times. Unlike something like E-liter or Jet Squelcher, the kits absolutely do not help in this case; Point Sensor, Sprinkler, and Wave Breaker are all very passive options, and Kraken Royale is... well, Kraken Royale. On a backline. Heavy's vanilla kit is fine; it has good synergy between its parts and will be very good once Wave Breaker gets a decent buff, but I would really want a more active third kit with Splash Wall and something like Killer Wail 5.1 or Super Chump before I pick up the weapon for good.

Feel free to share your own below.
Have a wonderful day!

Bamboozler, no contest. A silly weapon with a high skill floor and no practical reason to use as opposed to, say, the similarly difficult but significantly better Splatana or any charger with a one-shot splat. The Splatoon 3 MkII kit is, from my extremely limited experience with the weapon, a ton of fun... if you can hit your shots, anyway. My poor aim and recklessly aggressive playstyle do not match the pace Bamboozler likes to keep.

Other cool weapons I don't play:
  • Nautilus (dangerous little thing with fun if underwhelming kits; can't get a hold of the midfire charge or charge hold)
  • Tetra Dualies (I don't like how the dodges feel, but I see the vision)
  • Dynamo Roller (slow, ink hungry, and a shadow of its former self, but strong in the right hands)
  • literally any Splatana (self-explanatory)

E-Liter Honestly, I suck with chargers (If you didn't know this, then I would be surprised) But despite that, I honestly just really like this weapon it's a lot of fun to use and I usually use it when I'm sad (Bc I lost Usually) I don't know why it makes me happier, but it's just a silly weapon (Still get 1-7)

There isn't any, if I like a weapon I use it until I'm happy with how I do with it, even if I suck, weapons like H3, Recycled and Wellstring were kinda awkward for me to use, but I liked them so I still used them until I felt I was doing decently.
I think the weapon I enjoyed doing this the most with as of recent is Recycled MKII, I like the main weapon and wanted to use triple splashdown, I also like using a weapon that has mist, I don't mind, I like finding use cases for it.
I would also love to say Z&F charger at some point, but that was at least a year or so since I've had 4 stars on both scope and non scope for a long while

E-Liter for sure. I am not and never will be a Charger player, so seeing the grandaddy of all Chargers being played well is a real treat. My squadmate has been a Charger main since Splatoon 1 though, so he covers that base for us! Always fun to hear his excitement when he pops off a great shot with the E-Liter or other Chargers.

Honestly I used to be a Slosher main ever since the first game. Like that was my go-to weapon. And same thing in the second game but something just feels sooo OFF about the slosher in the 3rd game. Not as fast and definitely not as powerful. It’s just completely useless to me now sadly. I do sorta play dread wringer but not often. I MISS YOU OG SLOSHERRR 😭

Ah hmm, I guess the only weapon like that for me is the Ballpoint Splatling.

I do play the weapon, but not nearly as much as I'd like to. As far as skill level goes, it's definitely my weakest Splatling.
Bally just requires so much time investment. Sure it might be easy to be ok at using it, but being good is another matter entirely. High skill ceiling and all that jazz. I have used it in tournaments on occasion, but those moments are rare.

And I already play most of the Splatlings as is. I already invested a lot of time into Naut, I can't afford to do the same for BP. Rest in pieces my sweet little pen. You're way cooler than Snipewriter could ever hope to be. You're radiant and I love you.

If BP doesn't count then I don't think I have a weapon I like but don't play. I'm very much married to the Splatlings.

I'd say Painbrush, I'm the type of guy who plays slow, powerful characters and weapons in games, so getting that archetype for the brush class initially got me hyped as hell, but then... I saw its kit. I didn't like Wave Breaker on it AT ALL, but really liked Curling since it gave the weapon some mobility. So I thought "no biggie, surely the second kit will have something I like!" and then they gave it ****ing Point Sensor and Missiles. Every time I see it it pains me to remember how much I could've loved the weapon if it just got decent kits lmao.

Rollers. I just never get around to actually focus on playing and doing well with them.

The only two weapons that would fit this category for me are Stamper and Ballpoint.
I've tried them out before, specifically two months ago to test out potential weapons to use in comp and as much I enjoy playing them and think that what they have to offer is very interesting there's too many complications that would come with trying to add them into my weapon pool.
If I'm going to be spending my time practicing weapons for comp, I need to make sure they're weapons I'm actually going to use but Stamper and Ballpoint just don't fit anywhere for me or the weapon comps I need.
It's unfortunate, especially for Ballpoint which would probably be my favorite backline if we weren't in a meta with Bubble and Pencil on top.

I used to be a carbon roller main in Splatoon 2, but it feels like the weapon's less powerful in Splatoon 3. I love playing fast and reckless, and while the carbon roller is meant for that playstyle, it's just too weak for my taste nowadays. It was Fun playing with it, though. I could just turn my brain off and go all aggressive.

I find I can have a lot of fun with the Curling bomb weapons when paired with Ninja squid I quite enjoy playing sneaky
Machine is also a weapon I can have a ton of fun with but idk no offence to machine players but I don't feel like I need much of my brain functioning to play the weapon thus why I don't play it much
