Getting involved in competitive Splatoon

Hey. Recently I started getting into Splatoon competitive. Like focusing more on abilities, weapons, and watching tourney's for Splatoon. I know Splatoon 2 comes out this month, but I was wondering if they would like to give me tips, how I can join squads, and switching to Splatoon 2.

If you want to join a squad, you need to find one and ask.
There are squads catered to different people with different skill and experience level so you schould find one that fits you.
And yes, they're probably willing to give tips.

If your going to also get splat 2 and get competitively involved.
Its best to focus on splat 2 and not also competitively in splat 1.
Though splat 1 is still good for getting the hang of stuff but i assume most people will also move on to competitive splatoon 2 and splat 2 will end up `better` anyway due it being a sequel.
