team present because the past is gone and i'm scared of the future i'm trying to focus on the present in my own life. that's the only time i have access to. i can't go back to the past, whether to change or relive it, and if i want to change the future i need to start with the present.

i was actively trying to avoid picking based on splatoon 4 speculation because - as i've said a billion times elsewhere on this site - i think the theme was vague enough that any of the teams winning could mean anything, so i didn't want to put too much stock into picking a team because i wanted xyz specific outcome to happen, yknow?

If this Splatfest had occurred even one year earlier, I'd be 9000% in on Team Present. At the time of team selection, however, I was torn. Ultimately, I made a character-driven choice for Team Future. It probably helped that the team ink is my favorite color.
