Well as for data being corrupted when such an event is encountered, NWPlayer has expressed her concern earlier and given she's is the sole person knowledgeable of hacking around these parts she's probably as credible of a source we can get.

As for whether the OP is truthful in his claims may be up for you to debate, but you can not simply refute it due to lack of concrete evidence. Life isn't that black and white, there's miles of grey in between. If you want to prove the OP false then you must provide evidence against him rather than the lack of.

You said the hacker wasn't on your users met list just after playing with him, which is impossible, therefore you're lying.

No. As soon as the match ended, I instantly left the room and immediately returned to the plaza in hopes of posting a picture of the Octoling to Miiverse. Why is this so hard for you to understand?

Okay, and that has nothing to do with him being in your users met list. Once you move on from the results screen he would be there and still be there until you played with like 50 other people.

Right. When my game froze up, I pushed the power button on my Wii U. But it wouldn't turn off. So I had to hold it down for like 4 seconds for it to turn off. When I turned it back on again, a message popped up on the Wii U menu and I tried to start Splatoon again. Froze at the title screen. Had to power it down again. At this point I was more concerned about my own save than trying to gather evidence.

I checked my Recently played opponents list, and it didn't have ANYONE from that morning. Only HD members I played with the night before at 1:18 AM EST.

Yep, you already said all that, your friend list was just magically yet conveniently erased!

What would be the actual chances of running into this alleged hacker if there actually was one?

Ask NWPlayer123. She'd know better than anyone here.

Its extremely rare. You could count on one hand the number of Splatoon hackers out there. I think hardly anyone has hacked their Wii U, let alone change their character ID to 3 and played online with it.

As far as I'm aware, highly unlikely. If there are hackers doing this then their numbers probably range only in the single digits if there are even multiple ones. Compared to the number of people playing, unlikely.

I don't know what's worse, This or people trading out hacked Pokemon.

I honestly just feel really sorry for k9516b now - getting dogpiled on Miiverse cannot be fun in the least. This whole thing's turned into a freaking witch hunt.

So no further response? Understandable, I wouldn't know how to explan that either, asside from telling the truth of course. Guess at this point we'll have to see if the mods decide to kill this situation, has certainly done more harm than good.

Yah, I'm feeling really bad more him/her right now. Have we sent out a PSA that the alleged hacker ISN'T him/her?

I'd at least try to get the word out on Miiverse but I'm kind of cut off from the game until the weekend - work + parents who want the TV every night = no squids.

Well yeah, like I said, it's a witch hunt. Paranoia leads to awful things.
