I find it amusing that that boy asked if people eat squids, and it makes me think of how, despite being an island nation, there isn't that much seafood eaten in the UK. Every other place I can think of with the ocean nearby or a long coastline has seafood as a large part of their cuisine (Japan, Hawaii, Sweden, Norway, Chile, Alaska, Philippines, Vietnam, New Zealand, Jamaica, Cuba, the rest of the Caribbean, Louisiana, Mexico, Newfoudland, eastern China) but not any sector of the UK.

The translator pronounced "paella" wrong though. That's significant for me because I love good paella. If I have the money and the time, I'd like to travel to the Valencia region of Spain to eat paella in its native land.

But what about fish 'n chips? When I visited the UK, that was everywhere.

That's one type of food though, and most use only one kind of fish (though I'm not sure what kind is actually used in the UK, but in the US it's mostly Alaskan pollock).

I think it's more likely that the most popular way people eat squid outside of Mediterranean countries or Japan isn't called 'Squid Rings' but rather Calimari. Most kids probably don't even know that it's squid.

Those things are interesting. A lot of what was talked about is fairly obvious with good observation, but the director's view is rather appreciated for exact meanings. The Judd's place makes much sense and the premise of his keen eyes makes a lot of sense. Cats have natural attention to detail and are natural hunters.
