So, I pretty much mained the Splatana Wiper through the entire Splatfest. So, here are actually a few technical things Nintendo didn't talk about it:
The Splatana Wiper actually has physical damage to it as well, it will do even more damage while charged. Moving forward while releasing the charge will make your Inkling/Octoling spring forward. The Splatana Wiper actually keeps its charge when you swim through ink as long as you hold the button to charge it.
Despite its abysmal inking capabilities, it's actually dangerous in the hands of someone who really knows how to use all it can offer very effectively.
