so the first splatoon has it's own network, right? So when you switch... to the switch, do you have to start your squid all over, you have to buy weapons... over again? or you can just use the same cd for the switch? is this right or wrong, because I want my same network, from the wii u, on the new system.

There's no discs on the Nintendo Switch, and the save file is not stored on there anyways. Unless there is a way to transfer save data, you will have to start over.

The Splatoon data is stored on the hard drive, not your account or the Cloud.
