Takes forever to kill with, have very limited range, and it can't paint that well. Because of that, it just loses to a lot of other weapons in 1v1s because they kill much faster. For example, splattershot completely overpowers Clash because it has more range, better paint, and can kill way faster.
Clash's one thing it has going for it is that you don't really need to aim that much, and it has a situational advantage of being able to poke around corners. But it struggles a lot otherwise.
Now just because your weapon is a low tier doesn't mean you shouldn't play it. It doesn't really matter a ton in regular anarchy or turf war, it only really becomes pivotal if you're playing competitive.
