Introduction:
Welcome to Shiritori. For those who don't know, Shiritori is a Japanese word game where two or more players take turns to say a word which shares its first character with the last character of the previous word which has not already been said. Its a simple enough concept and a lot of fun to play.

Rules:
I have modified these to account for the fact that this is a Hiragana-based game being played in English, but at its core it is still the same game.
  • All words must be in English
    • When submitting, double check that you have spelled the word correctly
  • The word must start with the previous word's last letter (e.g. 'banana' ----> 'apple'-->'eggplant')
  • Only nouns (words that refer to a person, place, thing, event, substance, or quality, e.g. 'Doctor', 'coal', 'Christmas' and 'beauty') may be used
    • All objects must be real (e.g. football is legal but pokéball is not)
    • Objects which contain multiple words in their names may be accepted provided that the object does not violate the previous rule and has a name consisting of only nouns or if the name is used for all examples of said object ('rocking horse', 'traffic lights', 'ice cream' and 'pedestrian crossing' are legal but 'red car/automobile' and 'rugby shirt' may not be used in the place of 'car/automobile' or 'shirt', respectively, and 'hydrogen bomb' may be used over bomb wheras 'splat bomb' may not due to the latter not existing irl)
    • Hyphenated nouns may be used provided that they are widely accepted to be counted as one word/thing/person (e.g. 'Mother-in-law', 'merry-go-round', 'ping-pong' etc.)
  • Words may not be repeated
    • Alternative words of the same thing may be used regardless of whether their counterparts have been used yet or not (e.g. 'car' and 'automobile', rucksack' and 'backpack', 'pedestrian crossing' and 'zebra crossing', 'pavement' and 'sidewalk', 'ping-pong' and 'table tennis' etc.)
    • Alternative spellings for a previously used word (e.g. alluminium v.s. alluminum) may not be used.
    • You may not use a different tense of a previously used word (e.g. 'drive' v.s. 'drove')
    • Alternate states of the same object may be used provided that it does not infringe upon any of the previously listed rule(s) (e.g. 'cloud' and 'thundercloud')
  • You may not post again until two or more submissions have been made (to discourage post ping-pong)

I'll get us started then:
