Slosher Deco main power up question

Main Power Up for Slosher Deco is:

"Increases maximum damage range"

I dont get it. How does this work? Should I have it in my gear for a Slosher Deco build?

The description for this one is pretty bad because the effect is more nuanced than that.
Sloshers suffer from damage falloff when you're attacking from higher up than your opponents. Main Power Up reduces that damage falloff up to the base 70 you get from a direct hit when you're level with your opponent.
This one is pretty map-dependent. I would consider other abilities for a Slosher Deco build.
