Splatoon 2 Splatling Drills

I need to improve my aim with the Heavy Splatling so I can avoid situations where my opponent(s) close the gap so much I don't have time to react accordingly. What are some drills I can do to help with that?

Most aim drills and advice that works for shooters or chargers also tend to work for splatlings. But I went ahead and looked up some drill vids for heavy splatling specifically that might help.

They mainly focus on aiming but you should also pay close attention to how they're moving, given that aim & movement are heavily intertwined with splatlings!
