I’ve decided to turn this into a weekly series to further generate more serious discussion about the state of Splatoon 2’s meta. So without further ado, here are the top 10 weapon rates of players who were in the 10 League teams at some point in the past week . The data is courtesy ofhttp://splatoon2db.info/tips/170929_02
1) Splattershot (16.1%)
2) Sloshing Machine (10.8%)
3) Aerospray RG (5.0%)
4) Tentatek Splattershot (5.0%)
5) Rapid Blaster (4.8%)
6) Splat Roller (4.4%)
7) .52 Gal (4.0%)
8) Luna Blaster (4.0%)
9) Splattershot Jr. (3.1%)
10) Blaster (3.0%)
1) Splattershot (16.1%)
2) Sloshing Machine (10.8%)

- Very little has changed over the last week. With one exception, the top 10 remains the same, albeit with some slight shuffling.
- Contrary to my expectations, the Aerospray RG has not waned over the past week, but has in fact grown in popularity. It's safe to say the meta has yet to develop a way to effectively counter Baller. Given how difficult it is to break or slow down, there may not be one.
- Despite this, Splashdown is the most common special (25.8%). Much of that can be attributed to the overwhelming popularity of the Splattershot.
- The Blaster has cracked the top 10 this week. Its popularity has grown since the 1.3 update, although it's placement this week can be attributed to the slight decrease of the N-ZAP. Its relationship with the once more popular Custom kit is the same as the one between the vanilla Splattershot and the Tentatek kit: everyone is trading in Inkjet for Splashdown.
- If the numbers for the Splat Charger and Splatterscope are combined, they would fall at #9 on this list (3.9%).
- The least common weapon was, again, the Flingza Roller (0.03%).
