On the Pacman idea, why not use the Inkbrush Nouveau so the Player can pop the Bubbler to fight the Ghosts?

TOWER DEFENSE
Rules: To play, you must play on Blackbelly Skatepark. The mode must be on Turf War. The teams are as follows. 4 people must be the attackers and 1-4 people must be the defenders. The defenders must use the Inkbrush. The defenders must position themselves on top of the big middle tower on Blackbelly Skatepark. Once there, each defender has ONE life. If they die they are out and must stay in spawn or stay away from the tower and spectate. Once all the defenders die, It's game over, if they survive 3 minutes the defenders win! The attackers must use the Splattershot or the Tantetek version. The attackers must splat all the defenders, if they succeed, the defenders win the game!
Notes: You can use any gamemode you want and adjust the rules accordingly!

There's my gamemode idea! I haven't tried it out yet but feel free to try it out with your friends!

Are you sure you want to give the attackers a tentatek splattershot? :D Then it's more a game of how fast can you charge inkzooka and finish the game...

INK FREEZE

Teams: 4 players each. One player is the Transport and uses an Octobrush, the rest use their choice of weaponry and are Statues. (Alternate ruling can have two Transports.

Rules: Standard Turf War game. Most turf wins.

Transports are there to place Squid Beakons wherever they please to support their team. However, due to their mobility advantage over the Statues, they must not spam flinging ink, and only run around with their brush down, or use their special. Lastly, transports can not destroy squid beakons.

Statues can not move with the right stick. To move, they must super jump to beakons or teamates. Otherwise, no special rules apply and they can act as they please.

This sounds pretty cool actually! Are statues allowed to place beakons if they have it?

Why not? They can do anything other than move, and honestly the Statues need all the help they can get.

BEAKON BREAKER
Teams: 4 on each team, with an equal number of weapons with beakons on each team. All weapons are allowed.
Gamemode: Tower Control (for 5 minute ruling)
Rules: The first minute of the game is peace time. No players may be shot, but the Beakon users can place their beakons. No beakons may be placed on spawn or behind the tower finish area. The other players must stay at spawn untill the minute is over. Then, each team competes to break all the entire other teams beakons first. The only battle restriction is no superjumping to the beakons. Inkstrikes are banned.
Scoring: Teams can win by Knockout (break all the Beakons), or by score (Break more than the other team.) In case of a tie, the team with the most splats wins.
Alternate Ruling: One person is the designated placer. They may not attack, but they may place an additional beakon every minute.

Seek & Splat

Teams: Equal-sized teams (players per team can vary, but more might be better overall).

Rules: Each team tries to Splat the members of the enemy team using only Seekers (no shooting or special weapons* allowed; going Squid is allowed). Once the timer runs out, the team with the most Splats wins (timer can be modified by choosing different game modes). Players can decide which abilities are allowed and which are not. For extra epicness, play "Jump" by Van Halen in the background on a loop ;)

*If Seeker Rush is ever released, maybe use the loadouts that have it so the Special can be used and stay within context.

I thought of this because we played dodgeball in my friend's basement using these rules, and it was really fun. Obviously this has a few changes to make it fit for splatoon.

Secret Agent
Team Sizes: equal numbers on each team, ideally 4v4 and probably no lower than 3v3.
In Game Gamemode: Probably just Turf War, maybe try Tower Control for the extra time and different map layouts.
Maps: whichever float your boat, although some will probably be more fun than others.
Objective: Splat the other team's Secret Agent.
  • The secret agents on each team must wear some identifiable gear, probably a safety helmet or something, but you guys can agree on what they need to wear.
  • The secret agent can't camp in spawn. Obviously this is hard to enforce and all, but I suggest that the secret agent must be outside of a certain point on each map at all times. For example, on Camp Triggerfish, the secret agent must leave the spawn and the high platform that leads to the lower areas.
  • Because I don't know if you can manually stop games, maybe you should count how many times each Secret Agent dies. Ideally the game would stop after one of them dies, but that might be clunky in Splatoon's current state.
  • No restriction on weapons or anything, other than the designated gear for the secret agents.

Rainmaker Defence

Plays similar to a normal game of rainmaker, except the holder of the rainmaker may not move (aside from shot recoil). The goal is to be the team moving the farthest, out of shot recoil alone.

Squid Racing

4v4 tower controll, where each team competes to be the first to have ALL of the teammates in the area the tower finishes.

Hide and seek
teams of 3 minimum
maps: any.
load outs: any thing for the hiders, anything with point sensors or inkstrikes for the seekers.
rules: one team is the hiders and the other team are the seekers. during the first minite of the match, the hiders may ink as much turf as possible, they then have 1 minute to hide in said ink. once the minite ends the seekers may leave spawn. if the seekers have chosen point sensors, they may venture into the enemy side, they must shoot at their feet so there are no unnecessary splats. if a hider is hit with a point sensor they have been found, and must allow themselves to be killed by whoever found you. If the Seekers decided to use inkstrikes, they must use their half of the map to gather points for the inkstrike, then fire it into the hider side, if you splat someone with it, they are found, and may not leave spawn. the seekers win if they find all the hiders and the hiders win if time runs out without everyone being found, or if not every one is found and the seekers have no turf left to get inksrikes.

instead of shooting at their feet, the seekers could simply use ink resistance ability.
