What are callouts?

Hi sorry if I'm asking this in the wrong place (if I am please direct me to where I should be asking)

But yeah I see ppl in the squid locator and stuff talking about "callouts" and I'm not sure what that means

The short answer is: callouts are team/squad voice communication
-things like "e-liter is splatted" or "kraken on the (splat) zone"
