I mostly just made this to see what art you guys made, so it doesn't necessarily have to be your best. I just wanna see. :D

This is the most recent thing I have been working on. It also just happens to be my best so far in my sculpting world. 😁

I would show you the body, but I don't think I can 😓
I've spent about a week on this. I'm super proud of the general structure of it. I had to buy "premium" clay for this, so it wouldn't break. It was kind of a waste of my money though, 'cause after about an hour of fiddling with it, I realized it was basically the same quality as my red clay (default clay) if not worse. Oh well. I tried something new. 😁

yayyyy art share i love art shares. awesome stuff so far !! sculpting and pixel art are like, two art forms ive wanted to learn but never had the patience to pick up lol

hmmm im indecisive. i'll post one from this year and one older one i still like. here's the newer one:

digital drawing of an inkling with bioluminescent blue tentacles and freckles in a dark environment. she has dark skin, and her hairstyle is a modified version of the 'wave' inkling hairstyle, in which two wavy tentacles are styled to the left side, with the wavy tentacles made shorter and more tightly waved. her eyes are iridescent white and also glowing in the dark, and she has two rounded 'eyelash' points on the bottom of her eye mask. she is wearing a pink sleeveless nightgown, but its color is muted. she gives an unnervingly empty smile to the camera

i have mostly been drawing splatoon ocs for the past two years. such is life

and here's an older one:

a digital drawing of a person sitting on the ground tattooing flowers on their right leg. they are tan-skinned with light acne and facial hair, and their dark brown hair is tied up with a blue ribbon; they are dressed in a tunic made of vines, and a mechanical antenna juts out of the top of their head. bits of sand have stuck to their legs, feet, and hair. they are in a dimly-lit tent, with a firefly floating beside them

i used to watermark with my (dormant) art twitter handle. lol. anyway later the year i drew this one i had to give this character a reference sheet and quickly realized that no i cannot replicate that level of detail in the tunic, i'm going to have to simplify it

I'm gonna cheat and post two, mainly because the pieces I'd label my best are ones I made during ArtFight, and I don't want to post solely art of characters that aren't mine lol, so I picked one of my favorite ArtFight pieces + one of my own OCs. The OC in the first piece belongs to a close friend of mine (sharktrain on ArtFight), second one is both of my own personal OCs <3

(Also these are scaled down a lot lol, I draw on a big canvas and don't want to take up too much space when posting to the forums)

Darn :(

I wish I could do digital art, but for some reason, I've never been good a 2D...

Over in Neko Town (Somewhere in outer space), everything, and I mean EVERYTHING has always been 3D....

Side Question: When did you guys really get into art? In 8th grade, I signed up for sculpting classes 'cause I like the way clay feels in my hands and was surprisingly good at it. Now it's part of my everyday life 😁

I'm pretty sure I started drawing before I started consistently talking. (Uneven developmental milestones, hooray!) You are making me miss sculpting with polymer clay, my medium of choice in middle school and one of my favorites overall if it didn't cost so dang much. I used to buy a colorful multipack for $20; now it costs double that if I can find it at all.

Anyway, my most ambitious ArtFight piece remains one of the works I'm proudest of. It's by no means perfect, but it was fun, challenging, and ultimately fulfilling; every single person with a featured character had something nice to say.

Alternatively, at the end of every calendar year, I do the paper and pencil/ink/whatever I'm feeling equivalent of a Spotify Wrapped playlist. Since I don't want to put all three parts of my 2023 recap here, I can show you what mattered to me in 2022.

i'm told i was drawing since i was a toddler lol. according to my parents i used to draw very detailed eyes when i was really young. i got like half-serious about it (i.e. i started to seek out and learn from guides, even if those were. uh. chris hart how to draw manga books) when i was in 3rd grade. according to my old scratch account i got my first drawing tablet that same year for christmas, so that's when i started shifting to digital art

mmgh I was gonna post one of my bigger, more ambitious pieces and whatnot and I am still proud of them and all. But I think I gotta give it to my profile pic.
It was just a random little doodle in the corner of a much bigger doodle collection, but I ended up really liking it and decided to copy the thing onto it's own canvas and give it colours. It's like 200x200 pixels big or something idr, so the quality will always be bad, but it's still the best squid I've ever drawn. I struggle so much with drawing the squid form, I don't think I'll ever capture the whimsy of this one again.
Pretty sure both the files that have the original are gone. Don't think I bothered saving them. Only the crusty PNG is left. But I think that just makes it all the better. It's transient, born by accident, like a true piece of art.

Here are a few I'm proud of:

I made this one as a Christmas special, it was one of the ones that took me the longest to finish considering I had to use so many pieces of models at once, plus I had to add someone else's OC into the mix as part of a request:

Here's one of the few Splatfest-related SFMs I did, it's the one I'm most proud of because it is one in which I downloaded custom brushes to help me save time in gimp, otherwise, I would've spent additional hours on it, and wouldn't have finished it before the Splatfest:

I might post more of my SFMs here later on.

Currently trying to decide, I've only begun improving a few months ago

For something non-splatoon related there is this SFM scene build. I love how the whole picture tell this story of some sort post apocalyptic world

For something splatoon related there was this movie poster thing I created more recently. First time creating something with so many characters in one artwork, but I'm proud

Here are a few more SFMs I created:

This one is a reference to what I have encountered in the game as I was trying to 5-star the Snipewriter at the time, and created it only a day or two after doing so:

I made this one in celebration of Easter:

Jeff building a house!

I would definitely live in a house like this!

The Splatoon Hog battle. Would be interesting to see a new mode of turf war like this.

Splatfest. Yeah, this one was funny!
