And I used the left over Inkling NFC to have Squid Girl Nendoroid (so yeah pricey lil project).
Kinda wondering if the amiibo in spla2n will have the ability to change the hair and colour of the amiibo so I can recreate squid girl as my amiibo friend.

    1. cover the base in tape to protect the base.
    2. layer of primer (grey due to metal)
    3. dark silver base coat
    4. mild silver dry brush.
    5. bright silver highlight (dry bush in extremities with a tiny brush)
    6. apply gloss varnish (two layers to get extra shine... possibly intentional frosting)
    7. remove tape.
    8. apply tiny silver nintendo logo I found on ebay on the front of the base.

voila. sterling squid replica amiibo. I did some looking and I could buy myself a bakelite trophy base to make an exact replica but I lose NFC function. So no.

Final touches to go. Mainly the gloss varnish to add in that metally/slimy shine. This was a good prototype for practice towards the sterling squid.
