Would you like personal Inkling colors per team?

So not long after playing some Rocket League on PS4, I noticed the main colors for matches are the same as the "signature" color pair in Splatoon's matches. And after dwelling into the customization part, I found this:

Basically, it allows you to play as a color that neighbors the team's main color, like being able to use Cyan as a color if you're on the Blue team, or Fuchsia on the Orange team. You would still fire the same color of Ink, all this'd really affect is the color of the Inkling's hair and outfit,

That'd be interesting, but it seems like it would end up being more confusing than fun. Cool idea though!

I don't think it would be confusing, just a different shade of you teams main color. However I'm not sure how it would work considering both teams colors change every match.

what happens if 2 different teams pick the same colors though?
You can only pick different shades your main color. If you were blue you could pick different shades of blue but you couldn't pick orange.

You can only pick different shades your main color. If you were blue you could pick different shades of blue but you couldn't pick orange.
You could also pick colors and shades of those colors that are neighbors of the team color you have, i.e. Green teams could pick lime-green and teal, pink teams could pick purple and red, etc.

As stated before this only affects the colors of the Inkling's "hair" and Gear; it doesn't change the color of Ink they shoot out.
