Why remove it completely? It makes the game more accessible to people who would immediately stop if they were forced to use motion controls entirely, even if later they decide to switch to them. I'd imagine Ninendo's priority is sales and alienating the majority of people who are already used to...

Dog Queen here and the Cats totally rolled my team a lot, and deserved most their wins. (I'll excuse the time I was forced into a 1v2 match due to disconnections)

I main the Krak-on since I'm still getting used to the mechanics of the game, but I do know the special is hands down my favorite. Its pretty easy to use for splats or just inking areas without stopping to recover ink.
