I don't have a sub account, I bit the bullet (pun intended) when using chargers. Now I'm a charger main. However, lots of people in my squad do this.

You could use a non-main, low-rank account to begin using new weapons, and when you reach an acceptable level of skill with those weapons you could incorporate them into your regular play. That way, there is no pressure to excel with weapons you have no skill with.

I am sick of the fact that as a charger, half the time it seems like I can get 3 splats in 5 seconds, and the other half I take 4 shots at a roller and miss all of them.

I had the Rainmaker. I got about halfway to my base before I realized I was going the wrong direction... But that's just a little mistake. There's big things like one day I had 6 wins in a row with over 10 splats each, and then the next day I get pretty much the exact opposite.
