Depends on your definition of "offensively". The ink brush is a hit-and-run weapon that's very heavy on the run. You'll be constantly looking for openings to flank your enemies, capturing territory behind their backs and generally be a giant nuisance. You will not, however, be fighting anybody...

    Stage striking vs rotations

Well, having to exit the lobby, switch weapons and gear, and talk strategy and re-enter the lobby after each and every match might take a lot of time.

    Stage striking vs rotations

I'd say go with Set Rotation. That way, we'll have a nice variety of game modes and maps which players can prepare for. Such variety is basically a must for shooters, if we want to keep things interesting for a prospective audience. Besides, map knowledge is a skill that should be tested for.

    Stages you dislike?

Hmm, I'm gonna say that I have little love for Port Mackerel. It's all so narrow and claustrophobic, especially in Splat Zones, where there are no trucks to climb up on. Blackbelly Skatepark in Splat Zones is also something I'd rather avoid. Arowana Mall I can tolerate, though that huge slope...

Well, for starters, experiment with weapons. The Aerospray is good for grinding experience and money, but it's applications are actually quite limited. Check out the other weapons that you like the sound of, and try to learn with them. Even if you decide not to stick with them, getting familiar...

The Strategy Guide: Why you might want it.

I ordered mine yesterday, and it should arrive in the mail in one or two days. I'm sure that I could look up all the info online, but I like having a physical book with an index and a few bookmarks for easy access. Also, owning stuff is fun.

A futile attempt to rig splatfest

...Crap. Seriously, that just sucks. I mean, Splatfest is a nice thing, but you just know that all the munchkins will go with whatever happens to be most popular, turning the whole thing into a giant steamroll. At least dogs vs cats seems pretty balanced, but you better believe that the Pop...

    Better peripheral vision, I'd imagine.

A futile attempt to rig splatfest

The winner of Splat Fests get one extra Sea snail. Just one. I don't know about you guys, but I don't feel like cheating on a game I actually like over that. You'll get far more Sea Snails by ranking up. Wait, hold on a sec. These splatfests work by pitting the teams against each other, right...

    Competitive Squad Searching Thread

Eh, why not? Let's put up a "looking for group" poster. Country: the Netherlands Preferred role and weapon: Holding down important terrain and spearheading pushes with the Forge Splattershot Pro NNID: Kayeka Your Age: 25 Age Range of Group you are looking for: Eh, let's say 18+. Mostly...

No, you're not carrying bad teams, you're throwing.

This thread needs to be pinned. I'm so tired of all the salty people blaming their randomly selected teams for the fact that they can't rise up. Luck always swings both ways, so eventually, the better players will rise up in the ranks. If you can't rise, then you might not be as good a player as...

Any (Other) Weapon Specialists Out There?

I never leave home without my Splattershot Pro. I'm probably going to switch to the Forge Splattershot Pro as soon as I can play again. The Pro is just such a great weapon. Not being able to spread as much ink around is a bit of a downer, but in return, you get a great combination of power...

Jet Squelcher: Analysis and Thoughts Thread

I don't know. The Splash Wall is a pretty cool sub, but I find that the Squelcher itself is severely lacking in killing power. The pro might use a lot more ink, but that's a small price to pay for actually getting **** done.

    Blaster: Analysis and Thoughts Thread

I like this weapon quite a bit. The key to winning is to keep the right distance from your opponent, and you'll have pretty good odds of splatting them. Another nifty trick is to use it against enemies in cover, or from behind cover yourself, since the AoE is large enough for you to hit...

Love the game, but I'm just about done with it.

Actually, you'd have to be below average not to be able to make it out of C-, since at that level, the reward for winning is so much greater than the punishment for losing. I agree with your general point, however.
