reading all your stories is so fun. it's very curious to see what factors or memories can help one choose something as major as a name... your main form of identification. it's like holding those memories has a core part of you, you know?
mine is just plain old 'mizuta', because that's my name...
we all grow out of interests, but think of the younger you filled with joy by that thing. happiness is not cringe. mostly the things you listed are loved by very young people, so again it's natural that over time, as you get older, you'd not like it anymore...
i only purchased s1 after splatfests had ended (same with s2) and was quite late to s3... so my first ever splatfest ended up being power/wisdom/courage! my team (courage) didn't win of course, but i played the entire two days. i was excited beyond words to, after nearly 7 years of loving...
ironically, i've nearly drowned too... not once, but twice, when i was a child. right in front of some lifeguards... i wonder how on earth they didn't notice? i've never enjoyed swimming ever again. (i do love the beach though)
i feel like a bore saying this, but i main octoshot, neo splash, vblaster, vroller, or trislosh if i need an easy win. hope i could branch out into more unique weapon types- it's my dream to get gud at charger, but it's just not working out...
i just wish they didn't change the layout so drastically when porting old maps. i understand it's to show the passage of time (i mean, why would hammerhead have been in construction for over 9 years?), but it just sucks how bland they are now.
where i live, splatoon 2 is still very active (except salmon unfortunately), so go right ahead! it's lots of fun. find it preowned if you can- my copy was around $25, no point paying in full (it's less a dent on your wallet if you buy OE too)
