    Game Lingo Thread

I often call laggy Japanese rollers that kill you when 10 inkling speces away because of lag, "Sanics." I sometimes scream, Sanic speed! or, "rolling around at the speed of sound!" Sometimes it's ok just to call it what the game calls it.

I wonder if competitive people will find ridiculous methods for winning

I'm sorry if my post is aggressive, but if you think that when a competitive player discovers a "tech" that is too complicated for your liking or that beats you in a match, you need to buck up or shut up. If you don't want to deal with it at all costs, stay away from modes of play or players...

Is the Splat Charger even worth it in Turf Wars?

Remember: score is measured based on how much ink you cover, not total quality of play. Chargers aren't meant to be the spotlight players with the big points because they aren't made for covering zone in turf war. This creates the illusion that snipers aren't contributing, when the real stat one...

    Bomb usage discussion

So on the testfires, I developed more and more various tactics with bombs (especially the splat bomb), and happened to find myself using them more and more. One game, I netted 12kills-0deaths made up entirely of bombs in enemy highgrounds. Is this just a placebo, or are bombs (especially the...

Dead Thread - Pls lck or smthng

    1. I didn't read posts above, my bad :p 2. When I say complex input, I only mean that it is more complex than one simple button. This pertains more to execution, I just worded it wrong

The proper usage of weapons in contexts! (and other oddities)

This is not always the case because if the roller has a pathway back to escape, they can retreat and reappraoch. In addition, you can splatdash > mine > Squid to add pressure, ink, and possibly pick up the kill. However, splatter gun will usually win ;p

    Splatter Jumping Advanced Technique Guide!

Thanks! I'm glad somebody actually explained that instead of just showing it.

Dead Thread - Pls lck or smthng

In Smash, a tech doesn't necessarily need to be unintended. For example, air dodging 20 frames or less before landing after being put into tumble animation is called (by the VAST majority) a "tech," even though it was intended to be put in. In Smash Wii u, the game even tells you about it in the...

Which level did you like more in the demo?

Initially, I preferred warehouse, but saltspray rig grew on me for one reason: holding down the back square. I actually plan to talk more about how rollers (like me) should always rush to the square in back at the beginning of the game. It offers the most space to cover and is hard to get into...

    Splatdashing, An Advanced technique

I think it might be our experience with other games and how in those communities, tech is the only wisespread term. Tech seems to be the all-encompassing thing, but it is ok to call them just hy their name (without saying tech after).
