The UFO in the practise stage...

I'm a big fan of anything to do with E.Ts. When I saw the UFO in the practise stage, I was desperate for answers. What do you think the reason behind the UFO in practise mode was?

Splatoon has a deeper lore than it lets on, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if this has some relation to the story. Are the Inklings and Octarians from outer space? Who knows!

I think the Octarian ink is purple, so it could be related to that.

That is interesting. Cap'n Cuttlefish also mentions the Octoarians were "Invading." Not to mention their bases are incredibly futuristic. So them being aliens is not too far of a stretch.

I noticed it, but didn't register as it being a UFO for some reason xD It certainly makes sense that they might be part of the Octarian "Invasion".

Or maybe it's got something to do with Judd? He is the only non-sea creature in the entire Splatoon-iverse that we've seem so far, so maybe he's in on the secret?

I noticed it the first time when watching the Nico Nico event the other week when the people trying the game actually figured out how to jump and swim under the grate. I doubt it's a UFO, seeing as it's neither flying nor unidentifiable. It looks like octarian machinery, so they probably recently landed there and splattered their ink everywhere.
