Advanced Splatterhopping and Swimming Guide

Hello, I'm Shoob, and I'm here to give a guide to Swimming and Splatterhopping. Obviously I can't know very much about Swimming and Splatterhopping yet, but I'll try to keep updating this for as long as new stuff is 'discovered'. This was also only written out of stuff I and other people played in the demo, which may or may not change in the final release. I'm not even saying I'm that much of an expert on this, I just have a lot of information.

With Splatterhopping the aim is to cover more ground faster than if you just sprayed then swam through the ink. You do this by jumping into a puddle, swimming through it, jumping, making a puddle, then repeat. It can be used for the earlier stages of a match, and for escaping enemy turf .

Stats (By Quietrabbit)
For a short distance, Splatterhopping is 4% faster than Sprayswim.
On an incline up, Splatterhopping was 18% faster than Sprayswimming.
On an incline down, splatterhopping takes 3x longer than sprayswim, making it completely useless to splatterhop downhill.

Next: Swimming
Swimming is a very important part of mobility in splatoon, and if something is already inked, you should definitely swim through that. Swimming works horizontally and vertically, but is stopped if there's a barrier on the corner of a wall. Swimmine makes ripples and a trail, so the enemies will probably know where you are.
Stats About Wall Swimming (Still by Quietrabbit)
Walking is 7% faster than wall swimming
Swimming is 46% faster than wall swimming

That's all for now, but I'll try and add more when the game comes out.
