'Damage Up' Ability Guide (v0.1.3)

'Damage Up' Ability Guide (v0.1.3)

As the description states, this guide will cover the damage increase of each weapon, sub, and special in the game while using the Damage Up ability. I suggest you read through the following bulleted items beforehand.

  • Each weapon has one preset main ability slot and up to three randomized sub ability slots which are unlocked by earning points from battles. The main ability slots yield higher damage than sub abilities, the math of which is explained in detail by @ElStalky, here)
  • The only weapon missing from this guide is the E-Liter 3K, which I'll add once I unlock it. Also, the Rapid Blaster and Dynamo Roller will be added soon.
  • Each Inkling has 100 base health. This guide is written in the assumption that the enemy has no Defense Up abilities on their gear.
  • Custom weapons (such as the Custom Blaster, Custom Jet Squelcher, and Tentatek Splattershot) have identical damage to that of their regular versions, and as such will not have separate sections in this guide.
  • (Weapon Name)

(Any important information will go here)

Base Damage: xx.x (Damage without any Damage Up abilities on your gear.)

Main Slots (How much the damage changes with +x number of Damage Up main abilities) (Max: 3)
    +1: xxx.x (+xx.x) (Increase from previous amount)
    +2: xxx.x (+xx.x)
+3: xxx.x (+xx.x) (Currently missing a hat with a main ability of Damage Up, but I'll update the guide as soon as I have one.)

Sub Slots (How much the damage changes with +x number of Damage Up sub abilities) (Max: 9)
    +1: xxx.x (+xx.x)
    +2: xxx.x (+xx.x)
    +3: xxx.x (+xx.x)
(Potentially up to +9, but don't have gear with that amount yet.)

This is probably the strangest one I've seen. Simply put, if you thought you could make a powerful SMG using Damage Up with this weapon, you're wrong.

This section covers 3 weapons: Charger; Squiffer; E-Liter 3K.
Important: The Splatterscope is functionally the same as the Charger. Damage is affected by charge time, therefore I have limited results to full charges and lowest charges. ("lowest charge" meaning simply tapping "ZR")

This section covers 3 weapons: Roller; Dynamo Roller; Inkbrush. These weapons vary widely in damage depending on your range, so I've limited the results to two ranges, these being a close-range smash (pressing ZR) and a rolling smash. (while holding ZR and moving around)

+3: 173.2 (+4.2)
--------------------

Important
: The close-range smash's damage for this weapon was taken from when you press ZR once. The damage fluctuates depending on whether or not you were already swinging the brush.

+2: 32.6 (+2.1)

Sub Slots
+1: 28.8 (+0.8)

Incomplete, but the guide format is very nice. Also enough detail to make some sort of equipment set, but more information needs to be added.
