oh, fun fact: in the japanese version of side order, acht's speech is partially rendered in katakana, and she occasionally even says "HEY!" in English. this implies that she's speaking inkling with an octarian accent, and makes me wonder if octarian is indeed intended to be the splatoon world's equivalent to english (though in the english version of s2 the octo amiibo speak broken english)
