The only acceptable thing happened. Still, it's quite weird to have a splatfest THIS important in the middle of the lifespan of Splatoon 3. I'm already awaiting info on Splatoon 4, considering the next gen Nintendo system is already confirmed.
I probably put in a handful of hours into attempts, but never tried hard enough to actually get them down. I've completed every other single player thing possible in S2 though. Here's to side order being at least as good as octo expansion.
Kind of sad that Ruins of Ark Polaris isn't in SR yet. I pretty much only play turf without paying attention, as I lost any interest in taking ranked seriously with how bad matchmaking and netcode are in this game. At this point it's all about getting the catalogs done and retiring to better...
If I could pay to not have to play the game at all unless I want to, I'd love to do that over wasting my time I could spend playing a game that's more fun. In fact, I was hoping to have fun with an all-grizzco rotation in SR, but I'm running into bad people effectively throwing games and making...
Trust me, people are really good at calling out anything that's pay to win. I wish Nintendo would design their games to be competitive at a high level, and let people compete rather than taking down tournaments, maybe creating their own one on a rare occasion, claiming that they have laughable...
I could write a whole lot about how online games are ruined by being designed for low skill players, and this is just acknowledging the problem, but not trying to solve it in any way.
All I want is a better online experience. Netcode that works and matchmaking that makes sense, I pretty much do the bare minimum in Splatoon right now considering other games are a much better online experience. At this point all I can do is wait for next generation Nintendo hardware and hope...
I wish I could just buy battle pass levels and skip the grind. I don't want to play this game, as I'm sick of it and all the issues it has.
Also, 3 ranked queues? Why not let me play the mode I want (SZ) at this point?
The idea of being aware what doesn't work and isn't accurate because of awful netcode isn't fun, it's cryptic, and just ends up being a great way to show how poorly implemented the whole game is.
Also, I have my doubts about the teams being an equal splits of lower and higher rank, considering...
Having played multiple S → S+ rank-up battles (like 3 or 4 of them, there goes my chance of getting to S+ in season 1), I think matchmaking is intentionally broken in these. It feels like I'm put on a much worse team (so much worse that it might be a whole different rank entirely) against a team...
I'm very salty right now, because I ranked down in SR. It's a nightmare to play in solo queue, and I don't have anyone to play with. Today's lobbies are extra bad, and I stand no chance against 3 stingers aggroing me while I have an e-liter. Where's actual matchmaking that would put those...
None of this makes sense. The servers (which aren't NEX anymore, so Windows 98 jokes or whatever don't apply) are used only for matchmaking, not for the actual game, and there's no issue with showing medals on the victory screen anyway.
As always, team whatever Shiver picks. In votes like these, people tend to be lazy and pick the default option. All I'm hoping for is to not lead in the half time right now, since tri-color is broken and means every attacking team ends up with roughly 3x as much clout as defenders.
