The Splatoon logo lacks the Japanese subtitle and is also the 2D version as opposed to the 3D version, but that could be explained by them wanting to only use the logo in its simplest form because it's a pairing with the Amiibo logo. Still suspicious though. The Mario isn't an older render, so...
