If anything is wrong with ranked it's that too many people end up in S. They need to make it harder to advance in B and A. I'm bad and I got to S, simply by playing ranked enough. We don't need a S- we need A rank to mean something.

The thing with MMOs is that your gear and acquired wealth is part of your character's status and power. Splatoon is a competitive shooter, ultimately it's your skill at the game that determines your success, so I don't see why they made this huge barrier to keep players from the gear they want...

I think Splatfest would have been better as a week long event rather then one day, where Turf War is in Splatfest mode and you still have the option to play ranked. That way people could easily find the time to get to obtain royalty and people that have plans on Saturday aren't screwed.

If people want to savescum that's fine. But from my perceptive you're spending hours in front of a spiky hair slot machine instead of playing the game. The chance of getting a triple on a neutral brand is 1 in 2,197, that's a lot of reloading.

That is the downside. But if you don't plan on savescumming getting triples on some gear is unrealistic, especially on gear that you can't order.

I think it's stupid to do in Turf War because you're denying yourself points if the other team can't retake turf but if you're just looking for the win it's a legit tactic.
