Despite all the concerns about the meta and weapons and kits etc., I feel it's the problems on the backend that hurt this game the most. I could live with so many other issues if the matchmaking and netcode were improved.
Lots of good points here. Spawn camping is only ever a problem if it needlessly drags a game out as has been stated. The entire concept of a team being driven back to their base and being unable to get out only occurs because of a large divide in player skill between the teams. There are many...
Yeah, it's still here, and that surge of new people from a few months back has dropped off. Every time I check here it's the same dozen or so people posting. Like I said about a year ago, I'd love to be proven wrong about squidboards. So far, I don't feel that I have.
Given the choice, enemy rushers. In ranked modes, someone may be dumb and constantly smash their head against the enemy and get splatted, but they might get kills at a crucial time. It's not ideal but I've won games that way, where the rusher(s) broke through at just the right moment for me to...

Is this what you're referring to? The usage chart where there's 8 weapons that had higher comp usage? I don't see how that helps your case when only a handful of matches separate...
The 52 has to play around it's wall as much as you do when you're facing it, since bombs can be unexpectedly deadly for the 52 when thrown directly at the wall. It's paint also isn't the greatest for it's range category. Finally, randomness can kill you with stray shots, it may have a fast kill...
I doubt this will be a reliable way to play Splatoon 1, sadly.
To use an analogy, I play a dead MMO via a fanserver, not going to say which. At any given time there's usually a bit over a thousand players logged in, scattered across various areas and events. That game offers a variety of...
Specials being overpowered wouldn't be as much of a problem if more of them were, but having 19 has to be a balancing nightmare so here we are. Less is more when it comes to game balance. I enjoyed sting ray and missiles a lot back in S2 but yeah.
Question. If you never play any ranked mode in Anarchy, and only experience those modes when they appear on a challenge, how are you going to accrue enough experience and knowledge to get top 5% for a challenge in any mode that isn't turf? Sounds like you'd be flying blind against competitors...
Big run is like splatfests and similar events on other games - there's always people that stopped playing the game but pick it up for events, so they're rusty and then they get on your team and they die a lot. It's a universal concept.
You're replying to a post I made seven years ago. Seven. Years. Ago. I see you're new to the forums, so here's a tip: "necroposting", or the act of posting in threads that are several years old, only makes you look foolish.
