Was fine here, same as all the other splatfests for me.
Maybe you were just unlucky and kept running into Aus players? Would be even more likely if you were playing at non-peak eu time.
All I want from the last update is an updated mm that takes latency into account. Pretty much stopped playing outside of splatfest as I'm fed up of playing with 250 or so ping (EU to Japan), so don't really get to enjoy the new stuff anyway.
There were plenty of posts from team fit players also reporting the same thing "no trouble with the other team", it's not only team rich that were posting that they had no trouble, plenty of team fit posters were reporting the same.
On top of that, the people posting are a small portion of the...
Did say in my second one that it should still be implemented as it would benefit everyone then (not just EU) and it's still absurd it's not taken into account.
And I'm not talking about spikes. I'm talking general latency, of course US players can still have lag to Japan. But a good connection...
I'm from the EU, so will of course go from my perspective, but it judging from the forums, it seems like most NA players are happy with the current situation or prefer to play Japan and have a much lower ping to them anyway (140 on west coast I think, maybe 180 on east, still not really...
Meh patch.
Still want latency based mm. I guess Nintendo is fine with EU players being condemed to having to mostly play with absurd 250+ ping (EU to Japan).
It's strange Nintendo keep rolling out fixes and changes for a more "pleasant" gaming experiance, yet do nothing about trying to keep...
Don't play competitive, but just generally as a European player. I don't play anywhere near as much as I'd like. Constantly having to play with 250 or so ping (EU to Japan) because of Nintendo's awful matchmaking, gets old fast and I go play something else.
I'd like regional or at least the mm to take latency into account and try to match locally before branching out.
Ping times from EU to Japan are absurd for this kind of game (and no, changing connection won't help).
And branching out doesn't defeat the point either. It at least gives it a...
I wouldn't base the population on how many are on this forum. International English language forums always tend to be dominated by people from NA. A huge amount of the EU population doesn't speak English, so wouldn't be here.
Well I did say I only tried solo ranked (both times we've been...
I grasp your arguement, I just disagree with it.
I disagree with splatfest history showing it isn't reduced that much. As an EU player the EU ones are generally amazing compared to worldwide, with minimal lag. And are night and day difference between being in the worldwide pool.
I also...
The significant benefit is not having to play with 250ms+ ping (EU players). The potential of there being lag in regional doesn't undermine the benefit I'm pushing.
I'm pushing
Potentially some lag on occasions
VS
250ms+ against Japanese players, 100% of the time.
Your basically saying "if...
It's mostly Americans I see complaining about it. All EU splatfests I've played have been generally lag free. And no one ever claimed it would solve all the lag. 100% of the time. Of course you can still get local players using a potato, until console devs have the balls to do what is needed...
