I've used this tactic for a long time, ever since Splatoon 1. I always use it with the .96 Gal. However, it can be risky to use against opponents that out-range you, since they can destroy the Sprinkler, while they are out of your main weapon's range.
I never used the Tentatek Splattershot in Splatoon 1, since it didn't suit my playstyle. Also, being able to create our own sets will give players more freedom and can be more fun for players. Even if a sub weapon or a special is overpowered and overused, it will most likely get nerfed in future...
That is a decision made entirely by a player. Some players might want to use different kits. Even if every player had the same kit, every sub weapon and special can be dealt with.
Every sub weapon has a strength and a way to be dealt with. Also, overpowered weapons wouldn't be created since the main weapon's stats are balanced. For example, if I add Splash Wall on a Tentatek Splattershot, will it be overpowered? No, since players can easily move around a Splash Wall and...
I don't like the new sets too much, I preferred the kits from Splatoon 1. I wish Nintendo will allow us to create our own weapons and choose our own sub weapon and special.
If you're having trouble dealing with the Aerospray, you could use weapons such as the Splattershot Pro, Jet Squelcher, or Dualie Squelchers to out-range and zone out an Aerospray.
I'm confused with the range of the .96 Gal. On Inkipedia, it states that the range of the .96 Gal is 68 and that the range of the Splattershot Pro is 70. However, when I look at the range bar in Splatoon 2, the .96 Gal has the same bar length as the Splattershot Pro. Is this an error or was the...
