No, I think you got it. I for one always run straight towards Top in Saltspray. A great way to cover that area with very little effort is putting the Sprinkler subweapon on the Crane/Platform, and then get on top of one of the piles of crates and just jump and swing your brush. Guaranteed...
How to play Paintbrush: become the Scout. Be the constant annoyance to the enemy team. You don't fight fairly, you bash people's heads in from behind, or you're providing the distraction for the rest of your team. Top it off by backcap- I mean, Inkstrikes and sneaking into enemy base.
The Ink Wall Sub weapon is more-or-less a defensive weapon, since it has a very small cover area. However, it can temporarily close off choke points from the enemy team while still allowing you and your teammates to shoot through, which can be instrumental towards keeping turf.
I think Arowana Mall is an utterly terrible map for Rollers: the ramps don't lend themselves well to be covered by the Roller's splat attack. Though my opinion may be tainted by the one match where two of my teammates disconnected, leaving me and the other roller to fend for ourselves. That was...
Yeah, when I saw a preview of it, I noticed how small it actually covers, basically only an Inkling wide across. Haven't seen how wide the swipe is for the brush, but it's crazy fast. Might take a bit of getting used to compared to the standard roller.
I'm pretty sure the "C'mon!" emote pings your current location, though I've only played two of the testfires so I might need some more testing about that.
