Iv'e watched these videos right from the 1st upload. I'm very grateful for them and enjoy the science behind them but at this stage i'm unsure how to interpret the info into real world play. I still find it mighty confusing figuring out what to go for and at this stage i'm just picking upgrades...

I couldn't play it for more than an hr at a time. 4-5hrs was a total time played. Not concurrent. If you like grinding out your scores to upgrade you will enjoy it a lot. :)

Thought i'd comment on the servers as i received my copy of Splatoon today and have spent a few hours online playing now.. The servers/network have been solid. There seems to be plenty of people online but i'd say 90% of them at the moment are Japanese. Very few western names i have seen so...

Just received my bundle of joy from NintendoUK. A+++ service as usual from them them.

This sounds like it's starting to overcomplicate what is supposed to be a simple premise. I don't mind glancing at the remote for an overview of the map but to have to keep rotating it to keep track of the paint coverage would greatly start to reduce the simplicity of the game for me.

I'm guessing the cover is a hard plastic cover and not a soft silicon one, right?
