I'm so hype for the one coming up on the 23rd. I missed it the first couple times around because of Texas Showdown in Houston, but I'll esily be able to make this.
We've known Sakurai is kinda dumb for awhile now though. This is the guy who put tripping in Brawl and referred to custom moves in Smash 4 as "almost cheating" and locked them all behind RNG.
He's a good developer and I appreciate the effort he's put into Smash, but I wouldn't put much bearing...
I feel like Battle mode would be too little, too late at this point. I do think we're getting more straight up MK8 DLC announced at E3 this year though and while F-Zero will like take a back seat like it did with the last two packs, I can definitely see a Star Fox pack happening, plus one other...

I would hope that extremely random elements (like items in Smash Bros) would be banned from the get go, but as long as it's not too random I'd prefer to keep as much as possible.
There already is, it's crazy how many Smash players I run into online whenever Splatoon comes up. Also several high profile Smash figures expressed interest in Splatoon competitively very early on. Now we have SquidBoards which is both modeled after and a sister site of SmashBoards.
