I feel like a good strategy for rollers would be to start a round by cleaning the starting area, then catch up with teammates, but only enough to get stealth kills, and clean up messes the enemies make. Then, around when the clock has 30 seconds left, try not to rush in...
I tried Splatterhopping a bunch, and at the start of each round, you seem to move twice as fast as everyone else, and still cover more ground.
Definitely a trick everyone using the Splattershot should try if they want to get a quick start.
I'm curious how everyone else did in the demo.
I personally went 8-2, which I'm only moderately happy about, considering this is everyone's first crack at the game.
Watching speedruns and speedrunning games is one of my favorite passtimes, and I think Splatoon will make an awesome speeedgame. Definitely going to try and learn it when it comes out!
