I hope they increase the ink coverage of the Hydra in some future patch. That's probably my only complaint about the thing, fully-charged lines are still blotchy.
I'm sick of rollers killing me from any angle by flicking ink upwards like a bucket with a way wider range but every time I switch to roller my K/D consistently leans towards the negative.
any tips anyone
roller used to be fun and somehow I got really crappy at it
Context is important.
I don't mind arrogant kids doing it and then getting wrecked because they're not good at the game.
I do mind some ******* doing it every time he gets a kill, dominating the entire game, and not being able to take a shot at him. It's antagonizing and that's all there is to...
I've been running Ink Recovery Up instead and it seems to work, but I'd like to vouch for this statement as well.
I think using your charges wisely instead of falling back on your ability to recover ink is MUCH more useful with this weapon in particular.
IMHO the amount of slots you'd have to occupy with defense to get significant results instead of other things like Ink Resistance or Swim Speed Ups makes it not really worth it.
I'd like to bring this post up again.
By itself, I don't see why anyone would use the Hydra over the Heavy for reason of charge time alone. The distance on the Hydra is greater, but not by much considering the drastic difference in charge time between the two.
I'm also not entirely sure why...
The area it covers is cray-cray, but I don't understand the hate in 1v1 situations. If you're in range of a roller, walking backwards while shooting directly at it seems to be pretty efficient.
