you can kite the hell out of rollers in squid form then splatter shot them to death. Rollers have weaknesses to their setup for sure.

Rifles seem to be the weakest out of the 3 classes. either itneeds a longer range or a wider cover of ink to cover for me to consider using it. EDIT: I mean chargers.

Barrier is so good at clutching skirmishes, especially against rollers
