An ink revolver? Probably wasn't put into the game due to it looking too much like a real gun. It is interesting though, wonder if it's be like a blaster.
Being a pretty big Inkling supporter, I may be a bit biased on this, but I do believe the Inklings are a bit more recognizable than Callie and Marie. Nothing wrong with either of those characters, I adore them, but Inklings just make sense.

But then, the Inklings also gain full control of human form at the age of 14 right? Well since everything evolved from squids and octopi whose to say the life expectancy didn't improve for them?
Could stuff like Stealth Jump and Ninja squid have their negatives removed with sub-abilities likes squid speed up and quick super jump? If that were the case I might be willing to run those.
I do have to admit that the first time I saw the Squid Sisters I didn't know whether I liked or disliked their inclusion.
However, their designs have grown on me and they'll probably be one of my favorite parts of Splatoon once I get to know their personalities more.

I personally thought that the direct was a decent length. Most info we sorta knew, but a decent amount of it was adding on to it, like the weapon demonstrations and map tours.
