Completely disagree with stealth jump being useless. Many times I jump to a teammate who I think is safe and then he gets killed by charger/inkzooka/jet squelcher, and at that point I might as well put down my controller and wait for the next respawn since you already know the enemy is hiding in...
I like the squiff better than the standard charger, the fast charge time is more forgiving and the lower range isn't too noticeable. It's like a more offensive charger, which is good since the standard charger feels too passive.
I personally like the version that comes with the splat mine more...
I think you misunderstood. When I say ink trails I mean making them as you move as a form of transportation, not that they are already there on the ground.
There still is no proof that sdash is faster than this form of transportation, like I pointed out in my post, so I don't know how you can...
I said it before and I'll say it again since these arguments are going nowhere.
People are not against splatdashing because they think speed is unimportant or unneeded. These are not the things you should be trying to prove in your counter arguments.
The main reason is because there is no...
It is definitely because of latency, this will always happen when you have people from different countries in the same game.
The time a splat bomb explodes until the time an enemy dies is basically 0.
You are definitely inking wrong because numbers like that should not be happening if you were doing it right. Are you... just shooting and walking to the end without going into squid form? Because that's the only way I can see numbers like that happening.
No offence but the evidence you provided is anything but solid. You even said yourself the measurements weren't accurate, and you don't have video evidence to back up your claims or even prove that you were doing each type of movement optimally. Not only that but some of the numbers are really...
Even though I support it as a movement option, the claims some of you guys are making to glorify it are kind of questionable. We know absolutely nothing about the general meta, what objectives are most important and which strategies are the strongest. You can't claim that getting to mid first is...
I think you are being confused with this (since you mention spamming squid button):
The above isn't splat dashing, it's called being useless and not going fast or spreading ink effectively. Even I don't know what they are trying to accomplish here. Not to be confused with real splat dashing...
Absolutely, I'm not arguing that normal inking is faster than sdash, I'm just saying maybe getting there as fast as possible isn't always going to make up for the possible downsides. For possible example, it doesn't give you a safe escape route because even if you can escape quickly using sdash...
It's definitely not up for debate. Next time you are swimming through just a normal line of ink and press x to jump, pay attention to how the speed lines on the side of the screen disappear and you notably lose some momentum. The fact that jumping slows your momentum compared to swimming is just...
Also more concerned about coining something before anyone else before taking a moment to consider if it is even the slightest bit useful.
