The One is very talented, but that list is super skewed towards:
1. Most popular weapons (which, sure... I suppose that's the textbook definition of meta).
2. Weapons The One himself plays.
3. Weapons The One's teams tend to play, which are what people would consider nontraditional comps.
That...
A Christmas miracle!
What stuck out to me while scooting through my list was that the meta is so good right now. Nearly every weapon is viable (even if just niche situations) and literally every special is viable as long as we don’t count curling bomb rush, which we don’t. Dope game.
Custom JR but no vanilla JR, too. I believe Zink mini was also straight up missing.
But yeah, I had to use the reskin versions of a few to complete my list.
This was fun. Here's my quick and dirty tier list. I think a few weapons are missing overall, but nothing that would have made a huge splash on my list.
The best dualies I’ve played against seem to be masters of rolling around corners/obstacles straight into their shot. I’m not a great player, so rolls in general throw me (whether the dualies player is good or not theirselves). But I definitely find the great players have fewer “frickery” rolls...
Well, it’s not like there would be any audience crossover between fans of the fighting game Arms and fans of the fighting game Smash. So it’s pretty safe to have Splatfight or whatever it is Arms calls it.
Wait, I was being sarcastic above, but I just realized there really wouldn’t be crossover...
As a blaster player, I’ve found it difficult to deal with any comps with two torpedoes just because the fire rate/end lag of my weapon can make it so I’m spending the entire game shooting torpedoes out of the air or running away from them. Even if they don’t get kills, these little gnat bombs...
Nothing can scare a clash blaster away. Those guys will keep walking forward at you and still get their signature post-death trade after you really kind of killed them fair and square.
I have a ton of anxiety about that day too, and waiting around for the inevitable super long maintenance to finish up isn't going to help me, haha. I'll probably be in full "mental wreck" mode by the time the new weapons are actually going to be playable.
