I feel like Nintendo are certainty capable of adding new competitive related features into the game (LAN support pls), and it would be awesome if they has some sort of word championship thing. Nintendo have shown interest in competitive Smash, so they can do the same with Splatoon. Only...

I see Splatoon as being a Multiplayer based game, so a short story mode isn't the worst. I think the story mode is going to be used as a way to teach players the basics of the game mechanics/controls, while still being fun and engaging.

I'm pretty interested in joining a team, however, the thing that is holding me back is my pretty terrible internet speeds. I'm hoping the splatoon netcode is good.
